The Canadian Fencing Federation has announced that Richmond, B.C., will host the Canada Cup 1 on September 27 – 29, 2019 and the Canada Cup 2, on January 22 – 24, 2021. These events attract over 350 fencers, aged 12 to over 70 in the veterans category.
Both events will take place at the iconic Richmond Olympic Oval, home to the annual Peter Bakonyi Fencing World Cup, an International Men’s épée competition that has been hosted at the Oval since 2013. The Oval has a long standing history of hosting Fencing competitions, and since 2011 has been host to Provincial and Western Championships, Canada Cup Championships, and National Championships.
