Richmond, BC ranked third place in the Canadian Sport Hosting Index (CSHI) in the category of cities with 150,000 to 500,000 in population. Taking home the top spot in the category was Kingston, followed by Halifax and then Richmond.
The CSHI was first developed by the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance (CSTA) in 2018, and is based on national competitions and international events hosted in 2019, and future events awarded to the host city for 2020 and beyond.
