Over 150 people representing approximately 60 administrators from local, provincial and national sport organizations gathered yesterday afternoon at the Richmond Olympic Oval to celebrate the great achievements of sport in the Richmond Olympic Experience (ROX). The Sport Day at the ROX event, hosted by Richmond Sport Hosting, was a way to thank so many of the women and men who make sport possible for thousands of participants – from youth sport to our Canadian Paralympians and Olympians.
Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to win great prizes donated by local Richmond hotel and businesses. While many tried, one person – Jackson Higgins representing Synchro BC – proved his athletic mettle by leading the charge in three of the challenges! Any sports out there looking to recruit anyone – might be worth calling someone who can master all of these!
