Event Description

Peter Bakonyi World Cup 2019

The Peter Bakonyi World Cup is the only fencing World Cup for the Épée weapon held in North America, and one of five Épée World Cups held annually around the world. Featuring both individual and team events, this competition is an important qualifying event for the 2019 Fencing World Championships. Held at the Richmond Olympic Oval, this event will feature over 200 of the top fencers from around the world and is an important event for athletes in the lead up to Olympic qualifying for Tokyo 2020.

The event is sanctioned by the International Fencing Federation, and is jointly hosted by the BC Fencing Association and the Canadian Fencing Federation.
